You would like to study in Germany but you don't have the German language skills of level B2 or higher that is often required? No problem! With the "Studienkolleg with A2" program, students who can demonstrate a language certificate at this level (from A2) have direct access to the T or W Courses offered in Paderborn or Siegen.

The Studienkolleg with A2 starts with an intensive German language course, where participants acquire the necessary German language skills for the W or T course. After just a few months, the T and W courses begin, providing preparatory knowledge for studying and preparing for the FSP.

When does the Studienkolleg with A2 start and how long does it take from start to exam?
The Studienkolleg with A2 begins either in the summer or in winter semester. This offers students flexibility in choosing the start date (e.g., if the visa has not yet been granted). In just three semesters, you can acquire the necessary German language skills for studying in Germany (starting from A2) and complete one of our T or W courses.

 

Do you already have German language skills at the B2 level?
With us, you only need B1 for the specialized courses. Applicants and students who can demonstrate at least B1 language proficiency have direct access to our T or W courses and can complete them in just two semesters.

Note: The language level acquired through language courses abroad does not always correspond to the actual proficiency of the students. In this case, additional language courses may often be required to understand the course content and to be eligible to study in Germany! If you are unsure whether you truly have B1 proficiency, attending the Study Preparation College from A2 is recommended.

What are the admission requirements?
For your application, you need a certificate from your home country confirming your completion of upper secondary education (comparable to the German Abitur) and a language certificate at the A2 level in German. See also application criteria.

The total course fee is €10,050. This includes both language preparation and the subsequent enrollment in a T or W course.
