Please note: Unfortunately all places for applicants with a refugee status for the winter semester 2018/19 have already been assigned!
Project “INTEGRA” is offered by the International Foundation College at the Paderborn University in cooperation with Paderborn University, Bielefeld University, University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld and University of Applied Sciences OWL.
Refugees without direct entrance qualification to German universities have the possibility to qualify at the Foundation College at the Paderborn University for technical and scientific higher education programs. For refugees, participation is free of charge und funded by the DAAD project "Integra". If you are interested in studying at one of these institutions, you may contact the International Offices of the respective institution directly.
The locations of the universities in Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL) are geographically close enough to allow refugees from all parts of the region OWL to participate in courses at the International Foundation College at the Paderborn University. If you are interested in applying for admission please contact directly the International Office at the respective university or the International Foundation College at the Paderborn University. Prior to attending one of the focus courses at the International Foundation College at the Paderborn University all applicants are required to successfully take part in the admissions test in German.
Lessons take place Monday to Friday between 8.15 am and 4.30 pm.
The college offers two different focus courses (“T” and “W”).These focus courses prepare for either:
T-Course: Technical, Mathematical Studies and Studies in Natural Sciences
W-Course: Studies of Business and Economics and Social Sciences
The T-Course includes lessons in German, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The W-Course includes lessons in German, Mathematics, Business Studies / Economics, and English. Refugees are as well as other college students enrolled as students of the Paderborn University. However, the college courses will not be credited as semesters in the bachelor study program to follow. After participating in the focus courses (T-/W-Course) all college students have to pass a final exam (Feststellungsprüfung / FSP) achieving a final grade of at least 4.
The new courses begin every year in March and November. For exact dates and further information please contact directly the International Office at the respective university or the International Foundation College at the Paderborn University. This project is financially subsidised by Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD).
